The short version: ARASH One is local-first. Your financial ledger remains on your device and is not uploaded to an ARASH One database.

Last updated: 8 August 2026

1. Local by design

Accounts, transactions, budgets, receipt images and settings are stored in your device’s app data or local browser storage, depending on the version you use. ARASH One does not operate an online financial-data database and cannot see, recover or back up this local ledger. Moving data between your devices uses an export and import process controlled by you.

2. Optional Gmail integration

If you connect Gmail, ARASH One requests read-only access solely to identify recent bank alerts, receipts and invoices and suggest transactions for your review.

  • It cannot send, delete or modify email.
  • Parsing occurs on your device.
  • No suggestion is added automatically; you accept or dismiss each one.
  • OAuth tokens remain in your device’s secure credential storage and are excluded from ledger exports.

You can disconnect in Settings → Gmail sync → Disconnect, or revoke access from your Google Account permissions.

3. Receipt scanning

Receipt text recognition is on-device by default. An optional enhanced mode may send a receipt directly to Anthropic using your own API key. It is off by default and ARASH One does not receive the image.

4. Currency rates

Exchange-rate requests contain currency codes only. They do not include your identity, balances or transactions.

5. What we do not do

  • We do not sell, rent or share your financial data.
  • We do not use it for advertising or model training.
  • We do not include third-party analytics or tracking SDKs in the local-first app.

6. Deletion and control

Use Settings → Erase everything, uninstall the app, or delete the local ledger file. Disconnect Gmail separately to remove its token and revoke future access.
